The WACES Executive Committee is excited to announce the Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (WACES) Conference in Tuscon, Arizona. The conference will be held at the El Conquistador Tucson, October 24^th – 26, 2024 

Call for Proposals

We are pleased to announce our call for proposals! We invite proposals submissions for the conference that address all areas of counseling, counselor education, and supervision. Special attention will be paid to conference submissions on the topics of inclusion, accessibility, and indigeneity. We also want to specially invite doctoral students to consider submitting. Pre-conference sessions will occur on Thursday, October 24th, with a welcome reception Thursday evening. The conference educational sessions will run Friday, October 25^th and Saturday, October 26th from 8am to 5pm. Three types of presentations will be provided to conference participants: 50-minute Education Sessions, 50-minute Roundtable Presentations, and 30-minute Poster Presentations. Submissions must be received by (Friday, March 1st) by 5pm. 

Registration

Early bird registration will be available by the start of Spring.

Target Audience

The WACES conference will include sessions pertinent to counselor education and supervision in the Western region. Sessions will be of interest to counselor educations, supervisors, clinical counselors, marriage and family therapists, school counselors, and students. 

Further Information

Your name may only appear on two presentations, whether you are lead presenter or co-presenter. Presenters must be available to present on either Friday or Saturday of the conference. Presenters must provide handouts or make presentation available to participants within one week of conference. Call for Proposal Reviewers

The WACES Executive Committee would like to invite you to become a proposal reviewer. You will have the opportunity to indicate your interest as a reviewer at the end of the proposal submission process or by completing the application here https://forms.gle/uRNdLdaLEpMm9kH67. All conference proposals undergo a double-blind review. Each reviewer must be available to evaluate submissions between March 1^st – March 31^st.
