National School Counseling Week 2026 (#NSCW26) runs from February 2–6, 2026, focusing on the theme "School Counselors Amplify Student Success". Sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), this week highlights the vital, proactive role school counselors play in supporting students' academic, social-emotional, and college/career development.

TEAL DAY- As an outward symbol of advocacy and hope for counselors and the profession, ACA created Teal Day: an enthusiastic social initiative designed to build strong support, recognition and appreciation for professional counselors.

During the month of May, the American Counseling Association (ACA) joins the national movement to raise awareness about mental health. Established in 1949, Mental Health Month sought to put a spotlight on the importance of mental health and wellness. Each year we continue to fight against the stigma associated with mental health, provide support for those with mental illness and the counselors supporting them, as well as advocate for policies on behalf of those with mental illness and their loved ones.
